Health problems from being overweight

Besides the fact that your body will be in be more attractive if you diet to lose fat, there are many other health issues that will benefit from reducing body fat.

A big problem with people who are overweight is that of developing diabetes as an adult. A large proportion of the population are suffering with diabetes and the related health issues that this disease brings with it.

A lot of people are unaware that diabetes is a major reason for going blind. Another major problem linked to diabetes is kidney disease.

Things gets worse as the chances of suffering from a stroke or heart disease go up 4-fold if you suffer from diabetes.

Problems with getting an erection are also linked to fat.

High blood cholesterol and high blood pressure  are also more common with thiose who are overweight.

If you drop just a small bit of fat it can have a huge positive effect on your health. It will also help to lower the risk of you suffering from other diseases later in life.

Being fat can also mean you snore as when you lie horizontal fatty tissue in the throat can obstruct your breathing. Due to this you won't be getting good quality sleep and your energy reserves will be reduced accordingly.

Losing even a small amount of body fat can reduce your snoring quite a lot and the effect of getting better quality sleep at night is you will have increased energy.

Being over tired also tends to make most people try to eat more food in an attempt to boost energy levels. A double whammy, so take note of all the benefits shedding a bit of excess fat can give you.

Exercise to lose fat is not just about looks. You should think of that as a side benefit to actually improving your health. Good looks and good health are not mutually exclusive. You can attain beauty by putting on make-up or having surgery. But here's a thought - Will being unattractive kill you later in life?
